Not insurance advice or claim representation
Check My Roof is not a public adjuster, not an insurance broker, and not an insurance producer. We do not file, negotiate, settle, or otherwise represent you in any insurance claim. For licensed insurance claim representation in California, contact a California-licensed Public Adjuster (regulated by the California Department of Insurance under Cal. Ins. Code §15000 et seq.).
Document templates are yours
When the Service produces a document template (an "estimate review" or "supplement letter"), that document is generated for your use and is in your name. The Service is a drafting tool; you are the author and sender of any document you choose to use. You may edit, rewrite, ignore, or never send any output from the Service.
Code and pricing references
Code citations on the Service reference the International Residential Code (IRC), manufacturer warranty documents, and regional fair-market pricing. Local code amendments, jurisdictional supersedence, current pricing, and your specific contract may differ. Verify all references against the controlling code and your contract before acting on them.
No guarantee of outcome
The Service does not guarantee, promise, or warrant any specific result, recovery, reimbursement, supplement award, or other outcome from an insurance claim, contract dispute, or repair project. Average figures shown on the Service describe historical patterns in our data and do not predict your specific outcome.
Founder's license
Check My Roof is operated by the founder of Cutting Edge Construction, a licensed California roofing contractor (CSLB License #1007180). The CSLB license is referenced on the Service as biographical credential information about the founder. The CSLB license does not warrant the Service, the document templates, or any outcome from your use of the Service. The Service itself is a software product, not a roofing service, and does not constitute an offer to perform construction work outside of Cutting Edge's licensed service area in Sacramento, Placer, El Dorado, and Yolo counties.
No professional relationship
Use of the Service does not create an attorney-client relationship, an adjuster-claimant relationship, a contractor-client relationship, or any other licensed professional relationship between you and Check My Roof, Cutting Edge Construction, their owners, employees, or affiliates.
Concierge service scope
When you purchase the Concierge Estimate Review service, the licensed contractor reviews your existing repair estimate from a roofing perspective and helps you prepare a document. The contractor does not contact your insurance carrier on your behalf, does not represent you in claim negotiation, and does not perform any service requiring a California Public Adjuster license. For services requiring a Public Adjuster license, you must engage a separately licensed Public Adjuster.
